End of School Year Message

Happy June !!!!
Greetings all:
Just a year end message thanking all of our families for choosing Sister Catherine Donnelly as the school of choice for your child’s academic and spiritual education!
As this year comes to a close we also thank our tremendous staff for all they do both curricular and extra curricular that makes our school a great place to be.
We also want to inform you of some changes in staffing at this time:
Thank you to Mrs. Lawlor MacDonald, Mrs. Coghill, and Ms. Tofflemire as their year long positions have come to an end.
Thank you to Ms. Cabral for her years of service to our school as she accepted a transfer to the Good Shepherd School where she will be teaching grade 8.
Thank you to Ms. Cherwaty who is retiring after having been at the school since the doors first opened. We hope you will come back to the school and visit and maybe even supply teach !!

June 28th Last Day of School--Good News Assembly at 9:15am (Wear red and white to celebrate Canada Day!!)
The school office will be open from Tuesday, July 3 to Thursday, July 5, 2018. If your family will be moving over the summer please let the office know. The school office will reopen the week of Monday, August 27th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
All of our Senior Kindergarten to Grade 8 students will be starting their 2018 – 2019 school year on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. On the first day of school, please go to the back tarmac area and class lists will be posted on the school wall. Staff members will be out by the lists to greet their new classes. Just a reminder that there is always the potential for classes to be reorganized in the fall due to changing enrolment.
Students in Junior Kindergarten will receive correspondence in the summer regarding their starting dates.
There will be an Open House evening in September. Details will follow.
Sister Catherine Donnelly Catholic School participates in a milk and pizza program that will begin in October. This year the Lunch Lady will provide lunches on Wednesday's. Please note payment for all lunches will be made using the on-line payment program.
School agendas will be available for Grade 2 to 6 students. Agendas are an important communication tool between home and school.
If a parent or guardian is planning to volunteer in any capacity, a Criminal Background Check and a Vulnerable Sector Screening report are required. More information is available by contacting the school.
